Getting Started
- Beginner Guide: Your First Hour in Loftia▶ VideoFollow Pebble's city tour, then Milo (salvage scrap → Project Station → hammer), take the balloon to your island, plant Hazel's seeds (hold R for the tool wheel), cook Kun's Carrot Soup and ship crops for Dew. Early on: set guest permissions (V) so visitors can't harvest your crops, recharge your battery at your solar panel, and open the free Daily Goodies Chest every day.
- Scrambled Coordinates and Adventures▶ VideoScrambled Coordinates drop at random when you harvest any resource node (scrap piles, clay, plants…), and the developers raised the drop chance during Ryder's quest. After Ryder's intro Adventure, the Daily Goodies Chest also gives some. Each Adventure costs 3 — a 4-minute run for up to 4 players that rewards Bloom, Dew, outfit fragments and skill points.
- Energy, Battery Charges and Solar PanelsLoftia has no stamina bar — your battery is the limit. Hammering (2 charges), the Refining Station (5), cooking and placing some furniture all use battery charges; you recharge at the solar panel on your island. In the demo the battery held 10 charges and you could place 2 small solar panels. Solar works best in clear daylight (a patch boosted rain and night output). Early Access adds wind, hydro, biofuel and kinetic power.
- How to Make Dew (and What Souls and Bloom Are)▶ VideoDew is Loftia's money. Earn it by putting crops and cooked dishes in your shipping bin, from Adventures, and by selling to neighbors through your vending machine. The best demo trick: pick free wild berries, buy sugar for 5 Dew from Kun and make a smoothie that sells for 20. The demo capped Dew at 5,000 (so the 10,000-Dew island couldn't be bought) — check the cap in Early Access before overfilling the bin.
World
- NPCs and Characters: Who Does WhatThe demo NPCs in Loftia City: Pebble (chinchilla guide, city tour), Milo (workshop — Project Station, Refining Station, Bloom shop), Hazel (seeds), Kun (cooking, recipes, sugar), Amani (building permits, World Projects), Cliff (Airtram, glider), Ryder (Adventures), Linda (tailor), Estella (furniture) and Shella (treasure hunts). Early Access adds the Hanging Gardens and Gridfall residents. There's no romance.
- Where to Find Materials (Scrap, Clay, Tires, Glass…)▶ VideoEach Loftia City area has its own materials: screws, plastic and metal scrap in the Scrap Quarter, clay at the Construction Site, tires, glass and wire at the Solar Farm (smash washing machines and microwaves with the hammer), and berries, mushrooms (need pruners) and plant fiber by the waterfall. The Refining Station turns raw scrap into metal plate, plank, straw and rubber. Open the map (M) — each location lists its resources.
Launch & Platforms
- Release Date and Launch Time in Your Time ZoneLoftia launches into Early Access on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. EST (18:00 UTC) on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC and Mac. That's 10 a.m. PT, 6 p.m. UK, 7 p.m. Central Europe — and already November 4 in Asia and Australia (2 a.m. Singapore, 3 a.m. Tokyo, 5 a.m. Sydney).
- Price, Launch Discount and Is Loftia Free?Loftia is buy-to-play, not free to play: $29.99 (£26.99 / €28.99), with a 17% launch discount to $24.89 (£22.40 / €24.06) and regional pricing. There's no subscription and no paid expansions planned. The only extra spending is cosmetics — a shop with no gacha and an optional Community Pass — so it isn't pay to win.
- Switch, PS5, Xbox, Mobile, Mac and Steam DeckAt launch (Nov 3, 2026) Loftia is PC and Mac only, on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and it supports Steam Deck. Nintendo Switch is planned for 2027 (online play will need Nintendo Switch Online). No PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 or mobile version has been announced, and crossplay is being researched but not promised.
- Demo Progress Carry-Over, Account Linking and RewardsYes — demo progress carries over to Early Access on Nov 3: completed quests, collected items and character progression. But you must have linked your loftia.gg account in-game with your email; the developers say unlinked progress and rewards can't be recovered. Your character name is kept too, but it's released if you don't log in between Nov 3, 2026 and Feb 3, 2027. The demo itself ended on Oct 26.
- What's in Early Access and What Comes NextEarly Access lets you play the whole core storyline and adds two districts the demo didn't have — the Hanging Gardens and the Gridfall — plus pets, fishing (Collector Rod), hydroponics and trellis farming, community farms, research stations, urbex, proficiency perks past the demo's level 5 cap, and new movement gear. It's planned to last about a year; 1.0 is planned to add a Study Cafe, player markets and clubs.
- System Requirements for PC, Mac and Steam DeckMinimum (PC): Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i3-10100F / Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1050 / RX 560, DirectX 11, 10 GB. Mac: Apple M2 or newer with macOS 14 Sonoma — Intel Macs aren't supported (and M1 isn't listed). Steam Deck is supported. A broadband connection is always required.
- Kickstarter Backers, Beta Keys and Pre-RegistrationYou don't need a key for Early Access — from Nov 3 anyone can buy Loftia on Steam or Epic. Kickstarter/BackerKit backers who pledged for Early Access get their access through BackerKit (keys and add-on codes go to the backer's email; contact Loftia support with your Backer ID if lost). The Closed Beta (Apr 22 – May 6, 2026) used keys for backers and giveaway winners and is over. Pre-registering on loftia.gg is free and gives limited-time cosmetic rewards.
- Is Loftia an MMO? Solo Play, Servers and Playing With FriendsYes — Loftia is an always-online MMO (no offline mode). You share Loftia City with other players, link your floating island into a neighborhood, team up for Adventures and pool resources on World Projects. But it's built to be solo-friendly: the developers say playing alone doesn't block progress and almost all content can be done solo. You're not locked to one server.
